Tendon supports a disabled climber

29.7.2024

Mateusz, a young Polish mountaineering enthusiast, suffers from autism, but despite this handicap he goes on mountaineering expeditions every year. Tendon became his supporter for the second time and for this year's expedition we equipped him with a new rope.

During this year's expedition, the weather was not in our favour in the Alps, but we went to the mountains full of enthusiasm. During the night climb the weather conditions were very difficult, the large amount of snow and strong winds were big challenges we had to face. Trudging through the snow and finding a safe route at night and in the fog was an exhausting activity.

The night climb the weather conditions were very difficult.

Due to the difficult conditions, after two hours of climbing two teams climbing in front of us withdrew, in the following hours other teams of climbers turned back, a total of 7 out of 9 teams returned, at the pass Col du Mont Maudit it was decided that for safety reasons we will also return.
